"EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE BETTER PREDICTS BUSINESS PERFORMANCE"

Businesses were the first to grasp the importance of emotional intelligence to improve leadership, culture, and the bottom line. Major corporations, esteemed MBA programs and thought leaders all place a great deal of value on EQ in the workplace. Google recently identified seven soft skills, not technical skills, as the most important indicators of success.

EQ skills can be learned, improved and measured, increasing leadership effectiveness.

Dragonfly’s Management Essentials training modules and Team Vital Signs reports comprehensively focus on developing better EQ skills for individuals and teams. People are driven by emotions, and better understanding our own and others’ need for trust, acceptance of risk, intrinsic motivators and differing viewpoints results in better decision making and improved performance.

Management Essentials

There are five modules focused on different aspects of management and performance. They are designed as stand-alone workshops, and can be bundled together to form a longer more intensive course. Three different EQ measurements and reports are used in total, and clients use these during the workshops to gain insight into themselves and others.

We explore leadership issues related to trust, why we don’t trust easily, why it might be hard to earn trust from others. Only with trust are people willing to take risks, to change, and to work better with others. By using brain profiles, we learn how to build trust and better relationships.
People perform best when they are engaged and inspired. However, we all have different drivers for motivation. This module looks at what really motivates people, and uses tools to better understand that different drivers for different people leads to improved performance.
Change is hard, and a lot has to do with how our brains are wired. We develop patterns in how we think, feel and act based on experience. Repeating the patterns reinforces them. Here we identify challenges to change, and how to create new connections using our brain talents.
Leaders must know the drivers of team performance, create an environment accepting of alternative viewpoints, encourage collaboration and cohesion. This module looks at individual talents, how each can strengthen the whole creating improved commitment and results.
Organisational leaders support improved performance by creating the right conditions for execution. Focus, accountability and feedback increase efficiency and effectiveness. Here we examine execution and how managers can leverage their own capabilities for better results.
